Describe the work first
Specify matrix, question and parameters. Testing flowers is not automatically the same service as testing an oil or formulated product. Ask the laboratory to confirm that it can legally and technically accept the particular sample.
Check the actual scope
The SAS search publishes accredited bodies and their scopes. Check the current entry and relevant scope, not just a website badge. Ask how the proposed procedure relates to your matrix. A company appearing in the directory does not mean every service it offers is covered.
Make quotations comparable
Ask about sample quantity, method, reporting limits, result basis, documented uncertainty, price coverage and actual turnaround. Clarify subcontracting, queries and amended reports. Request a clear service description. We publish no unverified laboratory ranking or claimed partnership.
Editorial guidance, not individual legal advice, laboratory services or product release. No review by an external laboratory is claimed.
