The cantonal laboratory’s stated remit
Bern’s cantonal laboratory lists food-law enforcement and oversight including food, businesses and cosmetics, using laboratory investigations among its tools. This does not establish a public acceptance service for arbitrary cannabis samples.
Prepare a focused dossier
Describe whether the product is flowers, oil or another preparation and state its intended use. Include the specific responsibility or documentation question. Keep the enquiry and answer tied to that product. A THC/CBD report alone does not settle every distribution or marketability issue.
Plan commissioned testing separately
Agree parameters, report format and sampling with a suitable laboratory instead of assuming an official oversight function is a bookable service. Confirm cost, acceptance and transport before dispatch. The Bern city page separately addresses dib’s consumer service. No named body is presented as our partner or product-release authority.
Editorial guidance, not individual legal advice, laboratory services or product release. No review by an external laboratory is claimed.
