The cantonal laboratory’s stated remit
Zurich’s cantonal laboratory lists oversight of food, consumer products, chemicals and tobacco. Its website describes inspections and analysis within those responsibilities. This does not establish blanket acceptance of private cannabis samples.
Clarify the product before assuming responsibility
First record product type and intended use. Prepare origin, composition and the precise question. Use the official cantonal page to clarify the relevant responsibility, without interpreting contact as general product approval. Swissmedic’s implementation guide explains federal product categories.
From location to a suitable service
For commercial analysis look for the right matrix and method and check any claimed accreditation scope. Keep authority contact, laboratory commission and purchase agreement separate. The Zurich city page additionally explains its consumer service, not a list of approved commercial laboratories.
Editorial guidance, not individual legal advice, laboratory services or product release. No review by an external laboratory is claimed.
